Layla just closed her 2015/16 season as a “thoroughly winning Anne Trulove” (TribLIVE) in Pittsburgh Opera’s The Rake’s Progress. For her 2016/17 season, Layla dives into MOZART in a big way with 5 productions. First, she makes her Salzburger Festspiele debut as DONNA ELVIRA (Don Giovanni) in August, followed by a return to the role with Opéra de Montréal in November. Layla returns to the Metropolitan Opera stage in the role of PAMINA (Die Zauberflöte) in December/January.
After Claire “enraptured the Zurich audience” (BachTrack) as the Governess in The Turn of the Screw in 2014 and ’15, she returns to Opernhaus Zürich as DONNA ELVIRA (Don Giovanni) in March. Finally, Layla takes on the COUNTESS in Opera Philadelphia‘s Le Nozze di Figaro. More announcements to come!
